Kitsap Bank is pleased to announce that Aaron Steich and Taylor Bick are recipients of Kitsap Bank Scholarships for the upcoming academic year; both scholarships are given to eligible students enrolled at Olympic College who will be pursuing education in business-related studies, including finance, accounting, marketing, or cyber security.

Aaron Steich, a 2020 High School graduate of Cedar Park Christian School, is the recipient of the Kitsap Bank Scholarship. Established in 2004, this scholarship is awarded annually to one exemplary business student who demonstrates a strong commitment to community and volunteerism. Steich will be playing baseball for the OC Rangers and plans on studying Business at Olympic College. Aaron is a strong supporter of giving back to his community and is an active volunteer. He hopes to one day build a new orphanage in Belize, where he makes annual work party mission trips to the children’s home where his younger siblings were adopted.

A 2020 graduate from Central Kitsap High School, Taylor Bick, was awarded the Helen Langer Smith and Dr. Meredith P. Smith Endowed scholarship. This scholarship is given annually to one student who is pursing business related studies and plans to attend a 4-year college. Bick will be working toward her AA degree in Business at Olympic College and plans to transfer to Western Washington University. Her long term goal is to own her own business in Kitsap, and to make an impact by giving back to her community.

“We are extremely pleased to provide Aaron and Taylor with the 2020 Kitsap Bank scholarships,” stated Steve Politakis, Chief Executive Officer. “At Kitsap Bank, we believe that education is a very important contributor to the long term success of an individual and their family. We are enthusiastic about these bright and dedicated students and are happy to help Aaron and Taylor achieve their educational goals at Olympic College.”
