Kitsap Bank is pleased to partner with the South Kitsap Helpline by hosting a “From Shred to Fed” Shred Event on Saturday, October 9th from 9am to Noon at Kitsap Bank’s Port Orchard Bethel & Lund Branch, 3324 Bethel Road SE. The public is encouraged to support the helpline by bringing outdated or sensitive documents for safe destruction and disposal, along with a monetary donation. All funds raised at this event will go to supporting the South Kitsap Helpline.

“We are pleased to once again partner with the South Kitsap Helpline, and support those in need in our local community,” stated Charles Robertson, Senior Vice President, Retail Banking. “Through the shred event, we hope to not only raise vital funds, but also awareness about food insecurity right here at home.”

Participants are asked to limit documents to a maximum of 75 pounds per vehicle; and to make a cash or check donation in the amount they choose to the local food bank. Kitsap Bank will be holding a series of “From Shred to Fed” events throughout the region in September and October.  For more information and to view details about other Kitsap Bank Shred Events around the region, visit https://www.kitsapbank.com/about-us/community-giving/events/
