Kitsap Bank recently presented over $18,000 in donations to ten local food banks. These donations are just a portion of the commitments made to local food banks by Kitsap Bank this year. During the months of September and October, the Bank hosted ten “From Shred to Fed” events around the region. The public was invited to bring outdated or sensitive documents to various Kitsap Bank branches for secure destruction, while making a donation to the local food bank in that community. Combined with the bank’s corporate donations, Kitsap Bank generated more than $35,000 in 2022 for local food banks in Kitsap, Jefferson, Clallam, and Pierce counties.

The non-profits that benefitted from Kitsap Bank’s third annual “From Shred to Fed” events were:

  • Bremerton Foodline
  • Central Kitsap Food Bank
  • Fish Food Bank
  • Helpline House
  • North Kitsap Fishline
  • North Mason Food Bank
  • Port Angeles Food Bank
  • Port Townsend Food Bank
  • Sequim Food Bank
  • South Kitsap Helpline

“We were very pleased to partner with our local food banks to support those in need in our communities,” stated Charles Robertson, Senior Vice President, Retail Banking. “Through this year’s shred events, we were able to not only raise vital funds, but also awareness about food insecurity right here at home. We thank our community members for their charitable donations and joining us in our #causegood mission.”
