Q&A with Sammantha
Q. What’s your favorite thing about working at Kitsap Bank?*
A. The overall investment into all of the communities we serve, as well as in each individual’s personal growth and wellbeing. Being a privately held family owned bank, Kitsap Bank has proven its mission to support both its customers as well as each employee since I joined. This commitment is evident in each and every level of the bank whether it be from our Board of Directors, executive management, or from our regional managers. They truly want not only for the bank to be successful, but for our communities to thrive. They support employees in pursuing volunteer opportunities to serve our communities in ways outside the normal branch environment, while also encouraging us to seek additional training and education opportunities available to further our own personal growth.
Q. What did you want to be when you grew up?
A. An interior designer actually. I have always loved to utilize my creative side whether it be through design, painting or making a custom floral arrangement for someone special.
Q. What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most?
A. Hands down the relationships. Being able to meet with our clients, hear their visions and dreams, and then help them achieve their goals is so fulfilling. Within the bank I have also been blessed to partner with so many talented and wonderful people which has allowed me to not only further develop my professional network but also expand my own knowledge and understanding of so many aspects within the industry to better meet our client needs.
Q. What do you like to do outside of work?
A. I love to travel whether it be near or far, a day trip or an extended vacation. The more places, experiences, and cultures I can immerse myself in the better. In the summer it is all about camping with friends and family, as well as finding hikes to tackle with our two adventurous fur children.
Q. What’s the best thing about working in your department?
A. We are truly like a family. My direct team has worked together for 7+ years. We continue to not only partner to serve our clients’ needs, but we also support each other in our everyday lives by making each other laugh, lifting each other up in times of need, and checking in to make sure there isn’t more we could be doing for one another.
