The Langer family's ownership of Kitsap Bank begins
1930
During the Depression, depositors are asked to lend the bank 25% of their deposits, with a promise to pay back the loans in two years at 6%. They fulfilled their promises and the bank survived the Depression.
1952
Upon Frank Langer’s death, Hannah Langer becomes the 1st woman bank president West of the Mississippi River.

Kitsap Bank opens its first branch (East Bremerton) outside of corporate headquarters.
1977
Kitsap Bank opens new corporate headquarters one block from original building.

Kitsap Bank celebrates its Centennial Year
