Giving in a Time of Need

Kitsap Bank committed over $500,000 in financial support to more than one hundred area non-profit organizations in 2020 through the Bank’s Community Connections program. While most of these organizations were forced to cancel or postpone their major fundraising events for the year, the Bank was proud to maintain its commitments for the year, and even expand its giving.

Shred to Fed

From Shred to Fed, Supporting Local Food Banks

During the months of September and October, Kitsap Bank hosted nine “From Shred to Fed” events around the region. The public was invited to bring their outdated and sensitive records to various Kitsap Bank branches for secure destruction, while making a donation to their local food bank in return. All funds raised during the events were directed to the local food bank in that community. Combined with the bank’s corporate donations, Kitsap Bank generated more than $45,000 in 2020 for food banks in Kitsap, Jefferson, Clallam and Pierce counties.

Full Circle Meals

Kitsap Bank contributed $10,000 to Full Circle Meals to support their mission of helping our local restaurant industry survive during challenging times. Full Circle Meals provided meals to the under-served and those on the front lines during the COVID crisis, while supporting the Kitsap restaurant community.
