Giving Back

No matter how small the deed, or how great the cause, the Kitsap Bank family is here to improve the lives of our neighbors, co-workers, family and friends. We’re on a #causegood mission, and we invite you to join us. Share your story with us on social media - #causegood.
Giving back to the community, where I was born and raised in, is something I have always enjoyed doing and will continue to do for the rest of my life. Volunteering by serving on boards of local non-profits is a small way I can give back. I’m always looking for additional ways to serve the community and make a difference in the lives of others.
Jessica Connolly – Assistant Branch Manager, South Kitsap Region
I choose to volunteer because it’s a way I can lend a helping hand to people in my communities that I may not otherwise be able to connect with. I have found opportunities at organizations where I can utilize my skills and talents allowing me to make a positive impact on both the organizations and the people I help serve. Seeing my small contributions in the big scheme of things makes me realize it takes a lot of us doing our small parts to make big changes happen.
Carrie Heaton – AVP, Risk Management & Security Officer
I volunteer because it aligns with my personal faith, values and service to my neighbors. It’s my purpose! Each day we are presented with an opportunity to serve our neighbors and I’m grateful that Kitsap Bank supports its’ employees, allowing us to take care our communities.
Michael Gordon – SVP, Commercial Payments Manager

MAD Money

Each February 14th for the past four years, we have had the opportunity to “share the love” with several local non-profits by making surprise donations to them in our employee’s names. This program, called MAD Money (Making a Difference for our communities), has become a perennial favorite. For every hour that our employees volunteer over the previous year, Kitsap Bank donates money to a non-profit of their choice.

In 2022, Kitsap Bank employees volunteered nearly 3,000 hours and we were able to donate $15,000 in their names. It’s a #causegood commitment that starts with the generosity of our employees to so willingly share their time and talents.

Volunteering for me is fun and makes me happy. I love working on projects that help foster kids, our older generation and Veterans. I get to meet new people, spend time with my friends’ helping others, stay informed on community issues and stay connected to my community. What could be better?
Pauline Martin – Senior Client Service Specialist, Belfair Branch
I am so grateful to live and work in my local community. I think it is important to be a good steward of that community; allowing me the opportunity to make a positive difference in someone's life.
Bruce Eremic – AVP, Branch Manager, Bainbridge Island Branch
