Culture & Core Values

Green Team GroupKitsap Bank is an independently owned, local bank whose roots trace all the way back to 1908. Our culture is like a big family, and it’s evident in the way we truly care about each other, the way we care for our customers, and the way we care for the community and the world around us. We foster an environment of friendliness, transparency, and authenticity. Kitsap Bank employees frequently build their careers here, retiring after 20, 30, or 40 years with the company.

Our company culture is built around our commitment to our core values:

Local Independence

Kitsap Bank is proud of our Northwest roots. We are forged by a spirit of independence and innovation, which differentiates us from other financial institutions.

Meaningful Relationships

Kitsap Bank is a family. We cultivate deep, authentic relationships with each of our customers, co-workers, and community partners.

Community Connections

Kitsap Bank actively supports our local communities, and enables prosperity by providing beneficial financial products and services, serving in civic leadership roles, and engaging in willing volunteerism.

Sustainable Stewardship

Kitsap Bank acts with integrity, is focused on the long-term, and serves as responsible stewards of the resources entrusted to us by our customers, our communities, and the environment.

Our Workplace Culture

MAD Money

MAD Money

As part of our #causegood mission, we're proud to donate $15,000 to local non-profits annually on behalf of our employees.  For every hour that Kitsap Bank employees volunteer, a monetary donation is made in their name to a non-profit of their choice.  Then, around Valentine's Day each year, we surprise the selected non-profits with MAD (Making a Difference in our Community) Money from our employees.  Together our employees volunteer about 2,000 hours annually!
