In honor of Kitsap Bank’s 115th Anniversary, the bank is hosting a community-wide scavenger hunt July 31st – August 11th.  Each glass starfish is hand-crafted by Lisa Stirrett’s Creative Warrior Studio and will be hidden in parks and beaches in the communities the bank serves. Two starfish will be released each day except for August 8th, the bank’s anniversary date, when there will be six starfish released. The community is encouraged to get outdoors and explore the beautiful Pacific Northwest with friends and family in search of these unique treasures.  Kitsap Bank will be releasing clues to the hidden starfish daily throughout the hunt on Facebook and Instagram.

The glass starfish symbolize Kitsap Bank’s commitment to #causegood in the communities it serves.  Inspired by the well-known “Starfish Story”, the starfish serve as a reminder that everyone has the ability to make a difference.  No deed is too small or cause too great when we act together for the good of our neighbors and communities.  With every starfish the community finds, Kitsap Bank will be donating $50 to a local environmentally-focused non-profit in the finder’s name.

“Kitsap Bank has been fortunate to call the Pacific Northwest our home for 115 years while serving generations of families and growing alongside our communities,” comments Janet Silcott, Vice President, Marketing Director. “We hope this scavenger hunt provides our neighbors with a fun opportunity to celebrate alongside us and explore the beautiful areas Kitsap Bank has called home for over a century.”
